Sigenergy SigenStor battery stack, supplied and installed by our Sigenergy Perth team

What is the Sigenergy SigenStor?

SigenStor is a home battery and hybrid inverter built as one stackable unit. Instead of a separate inverter, battery and controller on the wall, you get one system that Sigenergy calls its 5-in-1 design. Sigenergy SigenStor modules are listed on the Clean Energy Council approved battery list.

Modular battery stack

Battery modules stack under the inverter. Start with what you need now and add capacity later as your energy needs grow. A battery optimiser prevents mismatch losses between modules.

Integrated hybrid inverter

The PV inverter, power conversion and energy management sit in the same unit as the battery. That means fewer boxes, a smaller footprint and a quicker install.

Backup when the grid drops

With the Sigen Energy Gateway the system can back up the whole house or just essential circuits, and switch over seamlessly when the grid goes down.

EV charging option

An optional DC EV charger can be built into the stack so your car charges from the same system. Sigenergy also makes a separate AC EV charger.

Is SigenStor eligible for the battery rebates?

Two schemes can take money off an eligible battery in WA: the WA Residential Battery Scheme and the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. Sigenergy is one of the brands expected to qualify, but eligibility is set product by product on the scheme's approved list, so check the current list before you commit. Any system we install will meet the scheme's requirements, and we handle the paperwork as part of the job.

Key Brand Differentiators

Sigenergy's product lineup represents a paradigm shift in solar energy storage technology. By integrating multiple components into cohesive, efficient systems, Sigenergy offers solutions that are greater than the sum of their parts.

At the heart of Sigenergy's innovation is the 5-in-1 integrated design, which combines essential components into a single, streamlined unit:

  1. PV inverter: Converts DC power from solar panels to AC power for home use
  2. Power Conversion System (PCS): Manages power flow between system components
  3. Energy Management System (EMS): Optimizes energy usage and storage
  4. DC EV charger (optional): Provides fast charging for electric vehicles
  5. Battery pack: Stores excess energy for later use

This integrated approach offers several benefits:

  • Reduced complexity and installation time
  • Improved system efficiency and performance
  • Smaller footprint compared to separate components
  • Enhanced reliability through integrated design

Sigenergy's gateway design sets a new standard for home backup solutions. Unlike some competitors that only offer partial backup capabilities, Sigenergy's system provides:

  • Full house backup potential
  • Seamless transition between grid and backup power
  • Intelligent load management during outages
  • Real-time monitoring and control via smartphone app

An industry expert recently shared their opinion that current battery brands without gateway functionality are merely "toys" compared to Sigenergy's comprehensive solution. The integrated inverter function in Sigenergy's gateway design offers superior performance and flexibility compared to other market solutions, including Tesla's Powerwall.

Sigenergy's commitment to efficiency extends to its battery management system, which features:

  • Parallel connection support with battery optimizer
  • Prevention of mismatch losses between battery modules
  • Enhanced overall system efficiency and energy output
  • Real-time monitoring and adjustment of individual battery performance

This advanced approach to battery management ensures optimal performance, longer battery life, and maximum energy utilization.

Recognizing that every household has unique energy requirements, Sigenergy offers:

  • Whole house backup solutions for comprehensive coverage
  • Partial backup options for essential circuits
  • Customizable configurations to match individual priorities
  • Scalable systems that can grow with changing energy needs

This flexibility allows customers to tailor their solar energy storage system to their specific needs and budget considerations.

Sigenergy's commitment to innovation ensures that its systems are designed with the future in mind:

  • Scalable battery capacity to accommodate growing energy needs
  • Regular software updates to enhance performance and features
  • Compatibility with emerging smart home technologies
  • Adaptability to evolving energy regulations and grid requirements

By choosing Sigenergy, customers invest in a system that will continue to meet their energy needs for years to come.
